There are numerous options available
when it comes to investment advice, and we understand that the
process of finding an advisor can be intimidating, stressful,
and confusing. Our ambition in establishing Aspera was to build
the type of investment advisory firm that we would want
to work with if we were the client. Many clients have
benefited from our business and investment philosophy, and we
take great pride in the fact that a number of
financial professionals themselves have turned to Aspera for our
expertise.
Our key strength lies
in our investment management approach, but the following
attributes form the bedrock of our business:
Experience & Performance
When all is said and done, what really
matters most to our clients is that their portfolios are successfully
managed in a manner consistent with their goals, objectives, and
risk tolerance. This is our focus and our core strength. We are
an investment firm, not a marketing firm. Most of our clients
come to us from client referrals which allows us to spend our
time on what really matters - your portfolio. See Investment
Management.
Aspera is headed by Ken Bell whose background
includes 18 years of successful research and portfolio management
experience at some of this country’s leading asset management
firms. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a
CFA® charterholder as well as a CFP® professional. See
About
Ken.
Independence
& Objectivity
Aspera is not affiliated with or beholden to any other company.
We only answer to our clients, and our clients’ best interests
are of paramount importance. What's best for our clients is what's
best for Aspera.
Aspera provides services on
a fee-only basis. We are compensated solely by our clients, and
our fee is clearly and explicitly disclosed. We do not charge,
receive, or accept loads, commissions, or referral fees. Furthermore,
we evaluate our investment performance on an after-fee basis.
Integrity & Trust
As a Registered Investment Advisor, our
business is regulated by the state of North Carolina and the North
Carolina Investment Advisers Act. We have also adopted a Code
of Ethics. We also adhere to the CFA Institute’s ”Code
of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct,” and we
adhere to the “Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility”
adopted by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards,
Inc.
Furthermore, Aspera
serves its clients in a legal fiduciary
capacity. This means that we place each client’s best interests
ahead of our own. Of course, we don’t need all of
these codes and rules to mandate what is simply good business
practice.
Client-Focus
Although no one will ever care about our clients’ money
as much as they will, we know that we come in a very close second.
We are available to our clients at any time, and we make a point
of being very responsive to any and all inquiries. Nothing is
more important to us than the continued trust, respect, and confidence
of our clients.
